Dieser Kurs wurde vom ehemaligen Ryder Cup Captain Sam Torrance und der Golf-Legende Gene Sarazen, im Jahr 2001, entworfen.
Dies ist ein wunderbarer Kurs auf dem Klippen-Top und wurde im Jahr 2008, zur Verbesserung der Entwässerung renoviert. Mit einem herrlichem Blick auf die Stadt St. Andrews und auf die Nordsee. Es wurde mit den Prinzipien der "Golf-Links" erbaut.
Der Torrance ist einer der beiden Golfplätze der luxuriösen 5 Sterne Fairmont Hotel-Kette, nur einbisschen außerhalb der Heimat des Golfs.
